FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JEFF CHANDLER HELD FRIDAY
Funeral services were held Friday for Jeff Chandler, 58, of Lowmansville who died at his home on December 4, following an illness of six weeks. Born at River, KY., on March 16, 1898, he was the son of the late Louis and Corda Reed Chandler. He was a merchant and postmaster of Lowmansville for many years. At the time of his death he was serving as secretary of Chandlersville Masonic Lodge No. 358.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ethel Hayes Chandler; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce Castle and Mrs. Paul Smith of Lowmansville; a son, Kenneth Chandler of Colonial Heights, VA., a sister, Mrs. John B. Brown of Ashland, KY., and one grandchild. The body has been taken to the residence from the Young Funeral Home at Louisa.
Final rites were conducted at the graveside by Chandlersville Masonic Lodge No. 358.
NOTE: I have two obits for Jeff Chandler. They both read the same except the one mentions the body taken from funeral home to the residence.
I know he did not live in J. C. but he was an important part of the Lowmansville, Johnson/Lawrence Co. community.
