Local Man Dies Sunday of Injuries
Hit-an-Run Driver Sought In Death Of Veteran

Isaac Mollette, 25, son of Mrs. T. Mollette of Boons Camp, died in a local hospital Sunday morning, six hours after he was found on Two Mile Hill in a badly mangled condition. It was reported that Captain Hall of the State Highway Patrol, shortly before midnight Saturday, investigated a report that a man had been struck by an automobile about two miles north of Paintsville on Route 40.  Hall said he found Mollette lying in the road. It was stated by witnesses that Mollette had got out of a taxicab shortly before being struck by the car and was on his way to his home at Boons Camp. The victim had served in the U.S. Army four years, and had recently returned from overseas. Besides his mother, he is survived by eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at the home at Boons Camp at two o'clock Tuesday.  Veterans of World War II conducted the final rites at the grave.  Interment was in the family cemetery.
