LOCAL WOMAN PASSES FRIDAY

SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR MRS. JESS COLLINS

Mrs. Goldia Spradlin Collins, 42, wife of Jess Collins of this city, died at her home Friday
evening following an illness of a year.

The daughter of Andy and Ida Salvage Spradlin, she was born May 7, 1914, at Denver, Ky. She had
been a resident of Paintsville for nineteen years.

Surviving besides her husband, are one brother, Oliver Spradlin, of West Van Lear, and two
sisters, Cora Pelphrey, West Van Lear, and Dollie Collins, Melvin, Ky.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home of Alvin Newson of Melvin, with Troy
Caudill and Russell Blevins as officiating ministers.

Burial was made in the family cemetery at Weeksbury under the direction of the Preston Funeral
Home.
