Gunshot Wound Is Fatal To Frank Blevins
Staffordsville Man Buried Today
Frank Blevins, 63, of Staffordsville, died about 1:15 p.m. Monday in a local hospital of a bullet wound in the head, suffered about one hour earlier. He was found in the kitchen of his
home by his wife who had gone across the street to visit a relative, and who returned after hearing the shot.
A .32 caliber pistol was found near the wounded man. He had been in ill health for several years and his condition had worsened in recent weeks, it was reported. He was a veteran of
World War I and had followed farming as an occupation.
He was born at Staffordsville on Jan. 29, 1894, a son of Rile and Susan Tackett Blevins. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Margarett Kimbleton; one son, Frank Blevins, Jr., Staffordsville; four step-sons, Kern Kimbleton, Louisville, Carvin Kimbleton, Columbus, O., Cecil Kimbleton,
Chicago, Ill., Ova Kimbleton, Ashland, Ky., and one step-daughter, Mrs. Ora Boleyn, Garrett, Ky.; also the following brothers and sisters, Grant Blevins, Waverly, Ky., Smith Blevins,
Staffordsville, Mrs. Rose Lemaster, Lucasville, Ohio, and Mrs. Laura Broman, Staffordsville.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. today at the Free Will Baptist Church at Staffordsville by Rev. John F. Ratliff.
Burial was made in the family cemetery.
