Earl Robinson
East Point resident, Earl D. Robinson Sr., 76, died Tuesday, March 23 in St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Mr. Robinson was born November 1, 1916 in Johnson County, the son of the late Sam and Loulie Robinson. He was a retired miner and an Army veteran serving in World War II. Surviving are his wife, Martha Jane Blair Robinson; one son, Earl Dewey Robinson, Jr., of Tom Most; six daughters, Linda Allen, Carolyn Jervis, Donna Goble, Dinah Miller and Lesia Keel, all of East Point, and Teresa Sligh of Lexington, South Carolina; Three half brothers; one sister, Ethel Spencer of East Point and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, March 26 in Little Paint Church of God at East Point, with Walter Burch and Bob Hefner officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at East Point, with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
