Funeral Services Conducted July 30 For Guy Crace
Illness of Two Years Fatal To Co. Resident
Funeral services were held at the United Baptist Church at Barnetts Creek on Wednesday for Guy Crace, 52 who died Monday following an illness of two years.
Born May 9, 1900, he was the son of Wilson and Rachel Arms Crace. He was a veteran of World War I and a retired minister by occupation. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Hannah Crace, seven sons, Charles Crace, city, Fred, Franklin, Raymond, James Willis, Leon, Eulas Edward, all of Barnetts Creek: three daughters, Mrs. Carl Hitchcock, city, Mrs. Hazel Ratliff, Barnetts Creek, Mrs. Curt Blair, Selma, Ohio. Other survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Carl Crace, Oil Springs, Ky.; Crossford Crace, city; Mrs. Daisy Slush, Wooster, Ohio; Mrs. Dixie Griffith, Oil Springs, Ky.; and Mrs. Hazel Blair, Barnetts Creek.
Officiating ministers at the funeral were Revs. Lonza Reed, Prater Blair, and Flem Arrowood.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Barnetts Creek under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
