Mrs. Joseph Auxier, age 78 years, died at the home of her son Tobe Auxier, across the river from Paintsville on Monday. He husband, Joseph Auxier died ten years ago. She was one of the County's oldest citizens and from one of the best families.

    She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Amanda May of Prestonsburg and Mrs. Gabe Hughes of Tampa, Fla. Five sons survive: Warren, Tobe, Down, Harry and Sam.

Funeral and burial at East Point. Last Tuesday, the service being conducted by Rev Arthur Green. She was a devoted Christian Woman and the county suffered a great loss.
