Beecher Bayes Dies December 11 Of Heart Attack

Beecher Bayes, 65, King Addition resident, dies of a sudden heart attack at his home Wednesday morning, December 11.

The son of William and Sidney Lewis Bayes, he was born in Johnson County February 12, 1892.

He was a veteran of World War I and engaged in farming prior to his retirement.

Survivors include his widow, Bessie Blanton Bayes; one son William Elzie Bayes, U.S. Navy, Brunswick, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Porter, Salem, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Pauline
Lewis, Ashland.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at 1:00 from the chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with C. C. Hall as officiating minister. Burial was in the Bayes Cemetery at Swamp Branch.
