50 More County Men To Be Inducted
Middle Of May Will Be Date Of Induction
Every Section Of County Is Well Represented
The Local Draft Board has released fifty more Johnson County men to be inducted into the armed forces of the United States. These boys come from all sections of the county and many families are represented.
Following is a list of soldiers to be inducted and their post office address:

45 Local Men To Be Inducted Monday
Delegation To Entertain Soldier Boys
Will Depart Early In Morning For Fort Thomas
Forty-five Johnson County men are scheduled to leave Paintsville early Monday morning for the induction center at Fort Thomas, Ky., to be sworn in for duty in the armed forces of the United States.
Plans have been made by local citizens to properly entertain the boys on their departure.
As arranged the departing soldiers will assemble at the office of the Johnson County Draft Board on Main Street where a roll call will be made and arrangements made for their departure by bus. The men are expected to be at the Draft Board office promptly at 6:30, where the boys will be served coffee and doughnuts and cigarettes distributed to each. This service will be rendered by the Ladies Aid Society of the Christian Church.
Previously to the assembling of the men at the Draft Board office a meeting of citizens will be held at the City Hall and the delegation led by the Paintsville High School Band will go to the bus station to see the men off.
It is requested that as many citizens as can possible be there come and take part in the gathering.
