Anna Louise Preston

    The Johnson County post of the American Legion took its first women member since the post was organized. Miss Anna Louise Preston served in the U. S. Navy for 26 months in New York City, Okalahoma and Saufley Field, Pensacola, Florida.  Miss Preston was an Aviation Machinist mate First Class when she was discharged.

    The former teacher of one of the local high schools and one of the most popular young ladies in Paintsville, Miss Preston accepted a position with the Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, TN., as a home economics teacher.
