JACOB ROHRER HOME

Jacob Rohrer and his wife, Elizabeth Bruner were both born in Lancaster Co. Pa.

Jacob was the son of Samual Rohrer and Elizabeth was the daughter of Ulrich Bruner. Jacob and his family came to Jessamine Co. in 1794 and settled along the Jessamine Creek, building this home at the corner of Bethel and Glass Mill Roads.

Jacob was a cooper, a farmer and also preached the gospel and never accepted any money for his preaching or his other preacher duties. Their son, Jocob Rohrer, Jr. followed his father into the ministry. The Rohrer family Cemetery is also located on the family homestead.
