John and Arabella Griffing Livingston Family Bible

John Livingston was born 1798 in Jessamine County and died 1857. Arabella Griffing, daughter of Jasper and Elizabeth Griffing, was born 1813 in Jessamine County and died 1890. The following information is from their family Bible.

John Livingston and Arabella Griffing were married Feb. 27, 1833.

I think John Livingston was the son of James Livingston and Margaret Drake Livingston. A Samuel Drake may have been Margaret’s father or other relative. Given the penchant of 19th century folks to name their children after relatives, the similar names make sense. I am willing to be corrected on this if you have documentation. I am a direct descendant of Jasper Griffing Livingston, my great grandfather.
