Nathaniel Davis 1852: Will of Nathaniel Davis: 'I, Nathaniel Davis, of the
County of Hickman and State of Kentucky, being of sound mind and memory do
make and constitute this my last will and testament as follows (to wit):
1st, I wish my burial expenses paid, and (2nd?) my just debts to be paid
out of my estate. 3rd, I give and bequeath to my children as follows: to
Serina Floyd, Cynthia Jackson, Hilery Davis, Washington Davis, Rebeccah
Jane Vaughan and Nathaniel Davis one dollar each and no more. 4th, I give
and bequeath to my wife, Jane E. Davis, the balance of my estate, both
real personal and mixed during her widowhood and if she should marry, she
is to be put to her third and the other two thirds to be used in some way
beneficial to my children, which she is the mother of and at her death to
be equally divided between her children, which she had by me and Lastly, I
hereby appoint Elisha B???? my executor to carry this my last will and
testament into effect in testimony whereof I have this day Set my hand and
