Dear sister, I will anser
your kind and welcome letter I received some time ago. Hattie I would ansered be
fore now but I have bin down sick. I am up some but not well. I hope this ma
find you and your family well. I was sure glad to hear from you one time more.
Hattie I am sick so much and see so much trouble. I can’t write like I ust to.
I wish you would come to see me. Hattie come and we will go see Ed. I am goen
before long, about June or July. It wont take but two dollars to take us from
here to where he lives. It looks like you could come. Could you to see him last
summer but got damn sick and did not get to go. Hattie I get to studdien
sometimes about we are all cutten. I am alone without a brother or sister. Just
a pen and my friends to ever write and me when I get sick. I have all ways done
the best I could and I still am to do the best I can. Hattie if you can’t come
to see me have you a picture mad and send to me. I look at your children picture
and wish I could see you together. I will have some mad soon as I can
send one. I want your children to see me if my pictures a stander up. If they
don’t never get to see me. I will have some mad rite away if I can get the
