A R Phelps to R C Coleman - Deed

This indenture made and entered into this 3rd day of October 1859 between A R
Phelps of the one part and R C Coleman of the second part all of the county of
Hickman and state of Kentucky. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the
sum of six hundred and seventy five dollars to be paid on the 25th day of
December 1860 and six hundred and seventy five dollars to be paid on the 25th
day of December 1861 have this day granted and bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second
part the following described tract or parcel of land lying in the count and
state aforesaid on the waters of Bayou de Chien and being part of South half of
the southwest quarter of Section 35 Township Range three west containing eighty
acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above described tract or
parcel of land with all and singularly the appurtenances whereto belonging unto
the said R C Coleman, his heirs or assigns forever with general warranty and
Sarah A Phelps, wife of the said A R Phelps hereby relinquished her right of
dower in and to the premises thereby conveyed. In witness of which we have
hereto set our name & seal the day and date above named. A R Phelps & S

Commonwealth of Kentucky, Hickman County. . . I, E R Ray, clerk of the county
court for the count aforesaid do certify that the foregoing deed from A R Phelps
and S A Phelps his wife to R C Coleman was on the 3rd day of October 1859 by A R
Phelps and on the 3rd day of November 1859 by S A Phelps produced to me in my
court and acknowledged by said grantors to be their act and deed and said deed
together with this certificate has been duly recorded in my office the 4th day
