HENRY AND LUCY GREEN TO THOMAS FLOYD BOOK B, PAGE UNKNOWN
This indenture made and entered into this 12 day of August in the year of Our Lord 1834 between Henry L Green and Lucy Green his wife of the county of Russell and State of Kentucky of our part and Thomas Floyd of Hickman and same state of the other part (unreadable) that for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy Five dollars in hand paid to the said Green and wife by the Sd Thomas Floyd the receipt of which is hereby – fully- acknowledged have granted bargained and sold unto the said Thomas Floyd a certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the said county of Hickman and state aforesaid being a part of a 1000 acre survey patented to Henry Dudley and Transferred to John W Sample lying as follows to with beginning at a black Oak the south east corner of said survey running thence north 116 poles to a large branch known by the name of Cane Creek Corner on 2 white oaks and a hickory on the bank of said branch thence west 103 poles to 2 hickorys and an ash thence south 116 poles to the said millitary line corner on dogwood variation of 5 2/3 degrees east of north containing by survey Seventy five acres to have and to hold unto the said Thomas Floyd his heirs and assigns forever and the Said Henry L Green and Lucy Green his wife to by these presents forever warrant and defend the above Sold 75 acres of Land unto the Said Thomas Floyd his heirs and assigns from the claim or claims of all and every person Claiming the same under or through him and any Sourer whatsoever witness the hands and seals of said Henry L Green and wife the date above written H L Green (seal)

I William S Patterson Clerk the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from Henry L Green and his wife Lucy R Green to Thomas Floyd was this day produced to me in my off ice by the said grantees and acknowledged by the said Henry L Green to be his set and died and the said Lucy R Green being Examined by me privily and apart from her husband, declared that she did truly and willingly Seal and deliver the said writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledged the said writing again shown and explained to her to be her act and Deed and Consent that the same may be recorded whereupon the same is certified to the clerk of the county court of Hickman where the premises by for Record_ Given under my hand this 1st day of September 1834 Will. I Henry L Edrington clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing deed from Henry L Green and his wife Lucy R Green to Thomas Floyd was produced to me on the day of January 18th and admitted to Record by and with the certificate of William S Patterson hath been duly recorded in my office In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 23rd day of June 1835.
