WH Jackson to Joel Mullins - Deed Book N Pages 268-269
This indenture made & entered into this 6th day of February 1869 by and between WH Jackson of the first part and Joel Mullins both of Hickman county. Witnesseth, that for the consideration herein after expressed I have this day sold and do by these presents sell and convey unto the said Joel Mullins Eighty acres of land more or less on which I now reside deeded to me by James R Walker & wife, to have and to hold the same free from the claim of all and every person whatsoever with clause of general warranty to him his heirs or assigns forever.
The condition of this sale and
conveyants is this that whereas I have this day executed to said Mullins my
promissory note for the sum of $220.00 due twelve months from this date. Null if
the said Jackson shall and will and truly pay off and satisfy said note when the
sane falls due according to the terms and effect thing of this this sale and
conveyance to be void else to remain & be in full force. Given under my hand
this day & date above written.

I Thomas M Kempo clerk of the county court for said county do certify that this
mortgage from W.H. Jackson to Joel Mullins was on this day produced to me in my
office and acknowledged by said Jackson to be his act and deed and that said
Mortgage being duly stamped as required by law together with this certificate
has been duly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 13th
day of February 1869.
