This indenture made and entered into this 29th day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty five, between Henry Romley of the county of Hickman and state of Kentucky, of the one part, and Wm Jackson of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Henry Rumly hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Granted, bargained and sold and Do by these presents grant, bargain and sell, convey and confirm unto the said Wm Jackson, his heirs, and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the county and state in aforesaid as follows To wit: Beginning at the south east corner of the north west quarter of section 15 township 2 west, running 160 poles to a stake at the north east corner of said quarter, thence southwest down a branch with the meanders thereof, to a poplar in the line, between said Rumly and J.B. Wards, thence east to the beginning containing twenty five acres, more or less. To have and to hold the said bargained and sold premises to him the said Jackson his heirs and assigns forever and the said Henry Rumly together with Nancy Rumly his wife, do covenant with the said Jackson that they have good right and lawful authority to bargain and sell the said premises and that they will forever warrant and defend the same to the said Wm Jackson, his heirs and assigns forever, from and against their clam and against the claim or claims of no other person or persons whatever In testimony whereof the said Henry Rumly and Nancy Rumly his wife have hereto set their hands and seals this day and date first within written.

Hickman County set:
We, Demsey White & R.P. Wright, two of the Justices of the Peace for the county of Hickman, do certify that Nancy Rumly the wife of within named Henry Rumly, personally appeared before us and being examined privily and apart from her husband as the Law directs and with her own free will and consent relinquish her right of dower to the premises, conveyed by this deed and requested to certify the same to the clerk of Hickman County court for records. Given under our hands and seals, this 29th day of June 1835.

Hickman County Set:
I, Henry L Edrington, Clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing deed from Henry Rumly and Nancy his wife to William Jackson was produced to me on the 27th day of November 1835, and acknowledged by the said Henry Rumly to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Whereupon the same together with the certificate of Demsey White and R.P. Wright, and the foregoing have been duly recorded in my office. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 16th day of December 1835.
