PRUDENCE JACKSON TO OTHO HARDIN - DEED BOOK C PAGE
This indenture made and entered into this 20th day of Sept 1836 between Prudence Jackson the widow and dowager of Nathan Jackson dec’d of the County of Hickman and State of Kentucky of the one part and Otho Hardin of the county and the State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Prudence Jackson in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell & alien all the right to title & interest during any natural life as dowager of said Nathan Jackson dec’d to Otho Hardin the following tract of land situated & lying & being in the county and state aforesaid towit my dower to the northeast quarter of section four township one range two wet and the said Prudence for herself her heirs executors doth warrant and defend the title to the previous hereby conveyed during any life to the said Otho Hardin free from the claim of all persons claiming under me the said Prudence Given under my hand the date first above written.

Edrington clerk of the county court aforesaid certify that this deed from the widow of Nathan Jackson dec’d to Otho Hardin was on the 20th day of September last acknowledged before me the said Prudence Jackson to be her act & deed& the same was requested to be considered with this certificate is done accordingly.
