THOMAS/SERENA FLOYD TO SAMUEL FLOYD
This Indenture made and entered into
this 7th day of January in the year of our Lord 1835 Between Thomas
Floyd and Serena Floyd his wife of the county of Hickman his wife of the county
of Hickman and State of KY and Samuel Floyd of the Same county and State
aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that
for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five dollars in hand paid to the
said Samuel Floyd the Receipt of which is hereby fully acknowledged have granted
bargained and sold unto the said S Floyd a certain tract or parcel of Land
situated lying and being in the said county of Hickman it being apart of a 1000
acre survey running thence North 116 pole to a branch Known by the name of Cane
Creek Corner on two two white oaks and hickory on the bank of said creek thence
west 103 poles 2 hickorys and ash thence South 116 pole to the said Military
line on dogwood chicory and white oak thence
East 103 poles to the beginning according to the variation of 53degrees
of East of North containing by sum of seventy five acres to have and to hold
unto the said Samuel Floyd and his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas
Floyd and his wife by these presents forever warrant and defend the above named
75 acres of land unto the said Samuel Floyd his heirs and assigns forever the
claim or claims of all and every person claiming same under by or thence then
and every other source whatsoever witnesses whereof we set our hands and seal
this day and date

I, Henry L Edrington clerk of the
county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing Deed from
Thomas Floyd to Samuel Floyd was produced to me on the 15th of June
1835 and acknowledged by said Thomas Floyd to be his act and Deed whereupon Said
Deed together with the foregoing certificate hath been duly Recorded in my
office.
