Articles of agreement made and entered
into this 28th day of May 1832 Reuben Owen of the one part and Adren
B Owen of the other part both of the State of Kentucky Hickman County.
Witnesseth I the said Reuben Owen of the county and state above written have
this day bargained sold and delivered unto the said AB Owen the following
property to wit; 4 cows & calves, 1 red steer, 5 heifers, 1 cart and steers,
1 bay horse, 1 black mare & colt, 1 yearlen colt, 1 sorrel mare, 18 head
sheep, 1 clock, 2 feather beds, 1 large pott, 1 cupboard, 100lbs bacon, 4 sows
& pigs, 1 grindstone, for the consideration of his assuming the following
debts; Owen G Cates $10.00,
Caldwell & Hannah $100.00, PN Mare $50.00, Rob’t White $100.00, John
Russell $18.00, Dabney Trece $08.00, Anderson Hanes $07.00, J Starks $10.00,
Lonsdale & Walton $30.00, MC Patton $07.00, Eleazer Givens $10.00 all of
which I the said AB Owen agree to settle and pay or cause the same to be paid
without any trouble to the said Reuben Owen for the property above named given
under our hands the day and date above written

All in trust on said debts is hereby taken into consideration assigned and
delivered in the presents of:
John C Outlaw
R Owen
Henry Carter
AB Owen
State of Kentucky Hickman County set
I Henry L Edrington clerk of
the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing bill of
sale from R Owen to AB Owen was on the 4th day of June 1832 produced
to me and proven by oath of John C Outlaw and on the 6th of same
month proven by the oath of Henry Carter subscribing witnesses thereto to be the
act and deed of the said R Owen for the purposes therein contained named
whereupon the same is admitted to record.
In testimony that I have recorded the
same together with this certificate I have hereunto set my hand this 20th
day of August 1832.
