State of Kentucky Hickman County
Know
all men by these presents that I Reuben Owens of the county and state above
written for the consideration of two hundred & sixty nine dollars to me in
hand paid by AB Owens of the same county & state have hereby bargained sold
and delivered unto the said AB Owens the following property to wit 4 cows &
calves, 1 large red steer, 5 heifers, 1 cart and steer, 1 bay horse, 1 black
mare and colt, 1 clay bank yearlin colt, 1 old sorrel mare, 18 head of sheep, 1
clock, 2 feather beds & furniture, 1 large pott, 1 cupboard, 100 lbs bacon,
4 sows & pigs, 8 shoats, 1 grind stone. Which property I the said Reuben
Owens bind myself my heirs & to warrant and defend the said property to the
said AB Owens his heirs forever against all claim or claims whatever in witness
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28 May 1832 in the presence
of John C Outlaw.

I Henry L Edrington clerk of the county court of the county aforesaid do certify that the within Bill of sale from R Owen to AB Owen was produced to me in my office on the 4th day of June and proven by the oath of John C Outlaw and again on the 6 June and proven by the oath of H Carter subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of the said R Owen for the purposes therein contained whereupon the same together was admitted to record.
In testimony that I have recorded the same together with this certificate. I have hereunto set my hand this 15th day of August 1832. HL Edrington
