SMITH TO JANE DUNCAN, 1894.IND
This Indenture made this 1 day of September 1894, between Sylvester Smith and wife Sara L. Smith of the first part and Jane Duncan of the second part, Witnesseth; That the party of the first part in consideration of the sum of One Dollar in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and the further natural love and affection that I have for the said Jane Duncan have bargained and sold and by these presents do convey and confirm unto the said party of thte second part her heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Greenup State of Kentucky and described as follows. Viz: Beginning at a White Oak in Joshua Kelly's line: thence with the County Road to a Chestnut stump: thence with a cross fence to a Black Oak in J. H. Lewis line: thence with said J. H. Lewis line to E. F. Cooper's line: thence with E. F. Cooper's line to Joshua Kelley's and corner to Cobe Holbrook: thence with said Joshua Kelley's line to the place of beginning supposed to contain fifty acreas, more or less. To have and to hold the same with the appurtences unto the party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever. And the party of the first part do further covenant with the party of the second part that they will warrant generally the title to the foregoing described tract of land and premises.
