Personally appeared ---- Garrard Co. Court of John J. Land, a
resident, aged 52, made the following declaration to obtain the benefit of provision made by Act of Congress - granting pensions to certain widows and others --; that he is the son and administrator of John Land deceased who was a pensioner of the United States in Madison County, Kentucky --- and of Nightaingale Land deceased wife of said John Land that as he has always been informed his said father John Land deceased was married to his said mother whos maiden name was Nightaingale Land in Pendleton County, state of Virginia, sometime in the year 1787 that his said father John Land died in Madison County on the 22 day in the year of 1846 that his mother the said Nightaingale Land deceased died in Decatur County state of Indiana on the 17 day November 1849 that she never drew a pension after the death of said husband John Land deceased and that her heirs has never drew anything since her death that he never knew that until lately that they were entitled to anything after the death of their parents that the only children of said Nightaingale Land now living are himself aged 52 years past Joseph Land aged 56 years, Rosannah Land aged 54 years, Moses Land aged 48 years, all of which will more fully appear by reference to the - here to --- and accompanying this affadavid and the papers now on file in the pension office on which his father the said John Land deceased obtained a pension aforesaid to which he respectfully ----.
