The above is the front page of The Mengel Company's
"The Emblem" - November 1942

It and the following seven pages were submitted by Linda Minton Simmons. She told me that her uncle Alvie Smith worked at the Mengel Box Factory in Hickman and was killed in an automobile accident, the day after the fire that you see above, destroyed the factory - October 14, 1942.

The last seven pages deal with Mengel's factories in locations other than Hickman, If any one is interested in a better view of those pages, the Fulton Public Library has a copy on file.
