PHILIP HATHAWAY CLEMENTS, the son of Lewis M. and Sarah Clements,  was born 22nd of  September 1844 in Illinois, and died the 19th of February 1930 at the Indiana Soldiers Home in Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., Indiana.  He married ELMIRA HALES on the 7th of  January 1875 in Macon Co., Illinois.  She was born in 1856 in Illinois.

3.  LUKE JOHNSON CLEMENTS (PHILIP HATHAWAY2, LEWIS M.1) was born the 14th of  October 1878 in Stonington, Christian Co., Illinois, and died the 23rd of March 1965 in Fulton, Fulton Co., Kentucky.  He married (1) LERLYNE BROWDER on the 18th of  December 1906, daughter of JOHN BROWDER and MATILDA BAKER.  She was born 15 June 1887 in Obion Co., Tennessee, and died 15 August 1940 in Fulton, Fulton Co., Kentucky.  He married (2) EMMA DEMING 1940.  Luke and Lerlyne are buried at Palestine Cemetery, Fulton Co., Kentucky.
   They moved to Fulton in 1904 and worked for the I.C.R.R., and then to 208 Third Street, Fulton, Kentucky in 1917

4. JESSE MARIE CLEMENTS (LUKE JOHNSON3, PHILIP HATHAWAY2, LEWIS M.1) was born on the 14th of  November 1907.  She married ALEX BLACK on 8 November 1929.  He was born 16 November 1906, and died 2nd of  May 1991. They lived in College Park, Pa. at the time of her father's death in 1956. They did not have any children.

5.  JOHN PHILIP CLEMENTS (LUKE JOHNSON3, PHILIP HATHAWAY2, LEWIS M.1) was born the 3rd of January 1910 in Fulton, Fulton Co., Kentucky, and died the 24th of  February 2004 in Port Charlotte, Florida.  He married ONA MAI LUTEN on 7 September 1928.  She was born 13 May 1910 in Cayce, Fulton Co., Kentucky.
Family lived on West Street in Fulton, Kentucky when John was born in 1910. Lived in Louisville, Kentucky after graduating from University of Kentucky, moving there in 1934. Still lived there in 1956 at the time of his father's death.

J. Philip Clements, a native of Fulton and resident of Port Charlotte, Fla., died on Feb.24. He was 94.
Services were on Feb.29 at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James Kuse officiating. Burial was in Resthaven in Louisville.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Marshall of Port Charlotte and Sue May of Louisville; a brother David Clements of Wellington, Fla.; two stepchildren, Julie Wanca and Pete Seilers; and eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mai Luten, and his wife of 10 years, Dorothy Rosa; a son Philip Luke Clements; and two sisters, Sue Gentry and Jessie Black.
Born on Jan. 3, 1910, in Fulton, to the late Luke and Lerlyne Browder Clements, he served in the military during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, attaining both a bachelor's and master's degress in chemistry. He was the founder and president of Fulltone Foto Co., a photo finishing plant in Louisville.
