This cemetery is the family graveyard of James Nathaiel Brown and his wife Dorcas Colon Shelby. They are buried down the road at the Harmony Church cemetery.

James Nathaiel Brown - b. 29 Mar. 1826 - d. 14 Mar. 1901
Dorcas Colon Shelby - b. 24 July 1829 - d. 1901

James N. Brown was a soldier in the Confederate Cavalry, serving in Co. K, 22nd Tennessee Cavalry. Approx 3000 people attended James' funeral at Harmony Church. Delegates from Mason Lodges rendered a most impressive service.
 
 
 
 
 

At least two of their 12 children are buried in the cemetery on the family farm.

These were the only two stones found in this cemetery. There possibly are more burial there ?
