Terhune, Jacob - Last Will & Testament (spelling and grammar preserved)
In the name of God Amen I Jacob Terhune of the County of Fleming State of
Kentucky being through the abundant mercies and goodness of God tho weak in Body
yet of a sound mind perfect understanding and memory do constitute this my last
will and testament and desire it may be received by all as such first I most
humbly bequeath my soul to God my maker beseaching his most gracious acceptance
of it through the all sufficient merits and mediation of my most compassionate
Redeemer "Jesus Christ" I give my body to the Earth from whence it was
taken in full assurance of its resurrection from thence at the last day as for
my buriel I desire it may be decent as to my worldly Estate I will and
positively order that all my debts be paid as for my Estate I leave it to my
dear and loving wife all of it after my first debts is paid and I desire that
Isaac Terhune as administrater on my Estate in testimony hereof I do here unto
set my hand Seal this 30th day of May in the year of our Lord 1824
