Jesse Johnson to Rawleigh Kendall

 This indenture made this 31st day of August One thousand Eight hundred and Eleven between Jesse Johnson of Champaign County and State of Ohio of the one part and Rawleigh Kendall of the County of Fleming and state of Kentucky of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Jesse Johnson for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and ninety five dollars to him in hand by the said Rawleigh Kendall at and before the signing sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell to the said Kendall and to his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land containing by survey Seventy acres situated lying and being in the aforesaid County of Fleming on both sides of Locust Creek being a part of twenty thousand acres pattened in the name of John Craig and bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at John McCollam’s North East corner five small sugar trees, thence north eighty seven poles passing Locust Creek to a blue ash stump and Beech thence west 40 poles to two beeches and a white oak thence south seven and a half poles to a beech __________(?) thence west fifty nine poles ten links to three sugar trees thence north fourteen poles eight links to two buckeyes thence west thirty three poles seven links to two hickory and a sugar tree, thence south ninety two poles twenty links to three sugar trees and a buckeye in John McCollams line thence along said line east one hundred and thirty two poles seventeen links to the beginning.  To have and to hold the land and premises hereby conveyed ________(?) every part and parcel thereof to the said Rawleigh Kendall and to his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jesse Johnson for himself his heirs executors and administrators do covenant and agree with him the said Kendall and his heirs.  That him the said Johnson and his heirs will and shall warrant and forever defend the aforesaid seventy acres of land with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said Kendall and to his heirs and assigns forever from the claim of him the said Johnson or his heirs ___(?) all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming or pretending to claim any right title or interest thereto in testimony whereof the said Jesse Johnson hath to these presents set his hand and seals the day and date first above written signed sealed and acknowledged in the presence of
