A copy of this will may be obtained from the Kentucky Room in the Lexington [KY] Public Library .    Susannah CAVE is a beneficiary in the Will of William GRANT, Jr. and has as high a station therein as he gives to his Mother.  I have no information as to who Susannah is.  Asterisks are used to hold the place of a word when it is indecipherable.  Transcribed by John P. Graff on 11 December 2004.

In the name of god Amen.  I Susannah Cave of Fayette County and Commonwealth of Kentucky being weak in body and knowing that all flesh must die, I hereby make my last Will and testament in manner and form following that is to say

1st I desire that William Grant Senior do decently have me Buried

2nd I give and bequeath to the above mentioned William Grant senior three negro (to wit) Cloeye, Jacob & George, to be his the 1st William Grant his heirs and assigns forever,  I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend and Brother the above mentioned William Grant senior my sole whole and sold Executor of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all other or former Will, or testaments by me heretofore made.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 25th day of February in the year of our Lord 1805.
