January 7-1833, made application aged 70. He seems to have enlisted in Fauquire Co, Va. The 2nd time he entered the service, was in Stafford Co, Va, 1781, - he was born Oct 7-1763, he moved from Virginia to Scott Co, KY, from there to Foueston Co, Ala and from there to Lawrence Co, Tennessee.

Lauderdale Co, Alabama, Margaret Markham, widow, made application for pension widow of Lewis Markham, states that her husband, drew his pension at the time of his death at Pulaski Co, Tenn, but prior thereto he drew at Nashville, Tenn - that she was married to him - her maiden name was Margaret Center.

     One William Markham of Fayette Co, Ky states as follows: September 21-1832, made affidavit that his elder brother Lewis Markham now of Lawrence Co, Tenn, served two tours during the Revolutionary War, the first time under  Captain Bronough and.

A certified copy of the marriage record of Lewis and Margaret is filed with the papers. They were married in Lawrence Co, Tenn and his name is spelled Lewis Marcom and hers Peggy Senter, Jan 5-1830.
