Charles Cullin / Cullen
On the 23rd day of June 1820, the above named soldier personally appeared in open court at the age of 84, resident of Fayette County Kentucky and states that he enlisted in Caroline County, Virginia, for eighteen months in Captain Vivian Minors company in Col. Harrison's regiment and was discharged at Hampton, Virginia; that his original declaration bears date May 27th 1818 and is pension number is 3540. He is a cooper by trade, but on account of his age, is not able to do any work. He has a wife, living with him, he has fifteen children, but all of them are grown and have left him. The youngest being in his 22nd year.
He states in his declaration, dated 1818, that he enlisted about 1777 in Virginia, under Captain Vivian Minor of the Virginia Line, commanded by Col. Harrison, for one year, and __ months, in the Continental Establishment, in the militia; that he occasionally served until 1780 when he was discharged in Bowling Green, Virginia.
