FAYETTE Co, KENTUCKY. May 29-1818, age 56. He enlisted 1776 Va. 3 years, under John Gillison in the 6th Va, regiment, was discharged that he was in the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, Stony Point, Fort General Wayne and Jamestown.

     STATE OF KENTUCKY, FAYETTE COUNTY, I Thomas Bodley clerk of the court, and Benj Johnson, prosecuting judge.

 

     He states in an  affidavit, June 1820 Fayette County; that he enlisted in Culpepper Co, Va. 1776 in Col Edward Stephens regiment in Capt John Gillison's company for 3 years; that he served the 3 years and discharged at Harristown? in New Jersey; that a pension certificate was issued to him bearing date Apr 27-1819 No. 9803. At that time he had 6 1/2 acres of land in Fayette County.
