William Christian
Pension No. 35830  Virginia

 

District of Kentucky, 15th Aug 1818 personally appeared the above soldier aged 60 of Fayette Co, KY. Said William Christian enlisted in Hanover Co, Va in company commanded by Captain Dabney, 1st Va, regiment, under the command of a colonel whose name he does not now recollect in the fall of 1775 and that he continued to serve until the fall of 1776. When he was not discharged from service, having been sent home on account of sickness some months or two before the usual time of expiration of service; that he was in the battle of Camplin and Goochland Mill, at the time of General Gates defeat, and some other skirmishes while afterwards serving in the militia.

 

     Affidavit June 7th 1819 Fayette Co, Ky. this day Judah Christian, widow of John Christian deceased, aged 69 years, who is a reputable woman stated that she was well acquainted with William Christian during the Revolutionary War and knows he was in the service of the U.S. Signed Judah Christian.
