December 11, 2003 Journal News, Hamilton, Ohio Margaret (Lairson) Shutt Margaret (Lairson) Shutt, age 73, of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at 12:25 p.m. She was born in Irvine, [Estill County], Kentucky, on May 25, 1930, the daughter of James and Pearl (Barnes) Lairson. Margaret was a member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church. In 1953, in Richmond, Indiana, she married James C. Shutt, who preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Helsinger; one son, Jamie Lee Shutt; one sister, Lottie Lairson; two grandsons, Richard James Helsinger and Michael Eugene Shutt; a very special sister-in-law, Gertrude Lairson; daughter-in-law, Tina Adams, all of Hamilton and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joe, Manuel and Rueben Lairson and three sisters, Mary Noe, Norma Creech and Frances Lairson. Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, December 12, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Elmer Bishop Sr., Pastor of Highland Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. |
