Madeline Richardson, age 86, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2003 at her residence. Madeline was born July 22, 1917, in Estill County, Kentucky, the daughter of Carl and Kate (Tipton) Thomas. On June 6, 1935, she married Carrice “CD” Richardson, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2002. Madeline was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She was a seamstress for Capital Cleaners. She enjoyed camping with her family, loved to cook and was a tremendous host to all who knew and loved her. She was a charter member of God’s Girls Circle at the Westside Church of Christ, where she was a member.

She is survived by her son, Roger Dean (Phyllis) Richardson of Hamilton; two daughters, Betty Z. Howard of Hamilton and Barbara Ann (Dennis) Day of Oxford, Ohio; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Westside Church of Christ, 1190 Stahlheber Road, Hamilton with Dan Knisley and Ray Jones officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to God’s Girls Circle c/o West Side Church of Christ. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park.
