Betty M. McCowan, 62, of Brookside Drive died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 25, 1939, in Estill County, she was the daughter of the late Vaughn and Anna Lou Wallace Muncie. She was a secretary for Inter-County Energy and a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene McCowan; a daughter, Terry Jane Gilbert of Danville; a son, Kevin T. Rye of Danville; a stepdaughter, Deborah McCowan of Danville; a sister, Carol Ann Stone of Winchester; a brother, Tom Muncie of Winchester; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Scobee Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home and noon Saturday at Scobee Funeral Home.
