Ina ALCORN Humphreys

Ina (Alcorn) Humphreys, 79, of Franklin, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at her residence.

She was born in Estill County, Ky., on Dec. 20, 1922, the daughter of Wade and Nan (Osborne) Alcorn. She was a member of the Franklin Freewill Baptist Church for 47 years.

Preceding her in death were her father; brother Herbert Alcorn; and sister Della Ditty.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Newell Humphreys; two sons, Dale Humphreys and wife Susan of Sinking Springs, and David Humphreys of Fountain, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara Shaw and husband Michael of Eaton; his mother, Nan Alcorn of Camden; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Arlie Alcorn of Camden, Ray Alcorn of College Corner, Austin Alcorn of New Lebanon, and Manuel Alcorn of Christmas, Fla.; two sisters, Dafon Hymer of Eaton, and Delma Salyer of New Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Eaton-Anderson-Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin, with the Rev. Dencil Owsley officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
