Lonnie Hale
Lonnie Hale, age 79, of Hamilton, passed away at Glen Meadows on Thursday,
October 23, 2003, at 5:45 a.m. He was born in Irvine, [Estill County], Kentucky,
on September 19, 1924, the son of Andy and Mary (Perry) Hale. Lonnie was
employed as a Boiler Engineer at Hamilton Die Cast for 37 years, retiring in
1986.
He is survived by four daughters, Joyce Brown of McAlester, Oklahoma, Dixie
Brewer, Carole Davis and her husband Raymond and Linda Canupp, all of Hamilton;
one son, Ronald Hale of Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren and twenty three
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Hale; his
parents; son, Leslie Hale; three brothers, Jim, Bev, and Bud Hale; and three
sisters, Grace Reed, Lola Means, and Luana Stamper.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing
Avenue, on Sunday, October 26, 2003, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Marcum, Pastor
of the Fellowship Christian Center, officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday
from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Committal service will be held
at 1:00 p.m., Monday at the Campbell Cemetery, Irvine, Kentucky. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to Vitas Hospice. The family would like to extend
a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Glen Meadows for all their care and
support
