In Estill County, Kentucky, on 19th of November 1820, before Justice of the Peace, Charles
Knox, Charles Lenox appeared and made oath: That he is the same person who belonged to the
company commanded by Captain Payton in the regiment commanded by Colonel Marshall. That
his name was placed on the pension roll of Pennsylvania. That he delivered his pension
certificate to Thomas Sandford, late member of Congress and does not know what became of
it, because the General died without ever having delivered it.
Charles Lenox stated that he wished his pension to be transferred from Pennsylvania to
Kentucky, to where he has lately removed and intends to remain.
There was a note on the back of the application stating that the pension of Charles Lenox
was transferred to Kentucky to be payable there on the 5th of January 1821.
