Phebe Witt, widow of Elisha Witt, Revolutionary War soldier.
"On this 18th day July 1839 Personally appeared before me Sampson Walters a justice of the peace and for the county of Estill and State aforesaid Phebe Witt a resident of said County and State aforesaid aged Eighty _______ years who being first duly sworn accorrding to law ..... "
    "I certify the said Silas Witt & William are both men of good moral character and persons of truth ..... "
Signed by Robert Clark, Clerk of Estill County Court.
18th day of July 1839.
