Richard (“Dick”) Tuttle, a farmer and native of Estill County, Kentucky (b. April 11, 1878; d. July 12, 1972), was the son of William V. and Catherine (King) Tuttle. He married three times and had children with each wife: (1) Eva Frances Gould (b. 1880, d. 1901), (2) Bettie Wilcox Winn (widow, b. 1879, d. 1912), and (3) Maggie Shearer Hall (widow, b. 1892, d. 1991).
