Newton & Almira (Burt) Gould

Index

Submitted by Mary Ellen Sharp

Newton (1822-1889) and Almira (1823-1894), both born in Vermont, came in the 1850's to Estill County, Kentucky, where most of their children were born. In the 1870's they moved to Texas, where they died and were buried. They were parents of seven children–three boys and four girls. Three of the girls (Mary, Amanda (Minnie), and Lettie) went to Texas, but the boys (William Nathan, George Henry, and Charles D.) and other girl (Sarah) remained in Kentucky.
