27 Edgehill Drive Jackson, TN 38301 Transcript of the Last Will and Testament of William Ford I William Ford, of the County of Crittenden and the State of
Kentucky, being in usual health of Body and of sound and disposing
mind and memory and being desirous of Settling my Worldly affairs while I have
strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this, my last Will and
testament, that is today. First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Alcinda
Ford, all of my estate, real and personal, of which I may _?_ seized or
possessed, for and during her natural life, and at her death my lands to descend
to my nine children by lot as follows viz. 1rst
2nd To my son, William M. Ford and my daughter Susan E. Ford, beginning on a white oak South Lot west corner to my original survey, running thence an East course with the original line to a white oak and ash, south east corner to the original, thence North far enough, for a due west line across said survey to contain fifty acres.
3rd To my daughter Lucy A. Ford and my son George H. Ford; beginning on a black oak and dogwood south east corner to my B. F. Towery lot, running thence north far enough for a due west line to Babb's line to contain fifty acres.
4th To my son Richard P. Ford, my daughter Mary F. Ford, and my son James A. Ford, the residue Lot and remainder of all my land including the mansion and homestead all of which I give and bequeath to my children aforesaid and their heirs forever.
And thereby appoint my beloved wife, Alcinda Ford sole executrix of this my last will and testament and respectfully ask the court to probate the same without requiring her to give bond or security, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In testimony, where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of May eighteen hundred and seventy nine

I, D. Woods, clerk of the Crittenden County court, certify that the foregoing testament of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Wm Ford Dec., was on the 13th day of March produced in open court, that being the regular day for the March session, 1882 of said court, and proven by the oath of J W Orr, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the last will and testament of Wm Ford dec., also the signature of W M Babb the other and absent subscribing witness thereto, was proven by the oath of said J W Orr. There upon, the court orders said instrument of writing to be recorded for and as the last will and testament of Wm Ford deceased. Where upon I have duly recorded the same and this certificate in my office.
