Old Marion High School

This building was built in 1938 and was the new Marion High School.
It was the Marion High School until 1957 when the city and county consolidated into one local High School.
It then became Marion Jr. High and held 6-8 grades.
In 1981 a new Elementary School was constructed and the grand old building was abandoned and left empty.
And it has sat empty all these years and is now is a sad state of deterioration beyond repair.
