Book 7, page 458, 15 Dec 1884.
On motion of P. C. Stephens, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that Mrs. Nancy L. Spurr
departed this life intestate in said County on the 18th day of November 1884 leaving surviving her several minor children.

On motion of P. C. Stephens and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that it is the request of the minor heirs
of Mrs. Nancy L. Spurr deceased, that said Stephens shall be their guardian: It is therefore ordered by the Court that said P. C.
Stephens be appointed guardian for Annie; J. T.; Mary E.; Julia N; & D. H. Spurr minor heirs of Nancy L. Spurr.
(Elijah Spurrs married Nancy L. Postlethwait, 16-Jan-1859, Crittenden County. He was 28 years old on the 1870 Census,
but was not with Nancy and children on the 1880. Burial place not found listed in the Crittenden County Cemetery books for Nancy or Elijah)

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that S. T. Davidson is in bad health & destitute of means:
It is therefore ordered by the Court that he be allowed the sum of $5.00 to aid him in procuring the necessaries of life for
him-self & family. Payable by the Sheriff out of the Levy made for 1884.

On motion of L. P. Conger, and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that P. N. Conger departed this life on the 8th
day of Jany 1885 in said County, intestate leaving surviving him his wife, whose request the Court to appoint said L. P. Conger
as Administrator.
(Payton N. Conger's wife, Nancy Margaret Slaton Conger has a stone at Pilot Knob cemetery. P.N. is probably buried here also,
but there is no stone for him.)

On motion of John W. Mabry it is ordered by the Court that W. T. G. Mabry, son of said John W. Mabry, aged 18 years,
March 25, 1885, be and he is hereby authorized to act & do for him self as though he was of Lawful age, free from the control
or responsibility of his said Father, from & after this date; and the services that he owes, his said Father under the Laws of this
State are no longer binding in fact he is for ever released from same, this order is made at the instance & request of the said
John W. Mabry.

Upon the application of Mrs. M. H. Baird for letters of Administration on the Estate of J. M. Baird her deceased Husband:
It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that said J. M. Baird departed this life intestate in said County on the 25th day
of January 1885. It is therefore ordered by the Court that letters of Administration be granted to Mrs. M. F. Baird upon the
estate of said decedent. W.J. L Hughes as her surety.
(Crittenden County Marriage, J. M. Baird and Martha F. Gass, 24-Oct-1880. Josiah M. Baird is suppose to be buried in
the Dick Paris Cemetery, located on the Floyd Turley farm, off of Pleasant Hill Church Rd., but he has no stone now.)

On motion of E.B. Graves. It appearing to the satisfaction of the court, that John P. Graves departed this life on the 9th day
of Jany 1885, intestate. It is therefore ordered by the count that letters of administration be and they are hereby granted said E.B.
Graves upon personal estate of said deceased. P. C. Stephens and A. Woody and R. I Nunn to appraise the personal estate.
(John P. Graves married Susan V. Butler, 15-Feb-1859, Crittenden Co. They are on the 1870 Crittenden Census, but didn't find
a burial location for them in Crittenden Co. Cemetery books.)
Book 8, page 8, Feby 18, 1885
On motion of H. G. Howard; and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that G. B. Howard departed this life intestate in
said county on the 11th day Feby 1885, leaving no wife or infant children surviving him. It is therefore ordered by the Court,
that said H. G. Howard be granted letters of administration upon the estate of said deceased.
(G. B. [Greenberry] Howard and his wife Lurany are thought to be buried in the Howard family cemetery on the Howard homeplace, but there are no stones for them.)
Book 8, page 11, Feby 25 1885
Ordered that John Babb, a poor aged & penniless citizen, who was received ay the keeper of the Poor House on the 14th of
Feby 1885, upon verbal order of the County Judge be and is hereby declared a pauper and the keeper of poorhouse is ordered
to retain him in his custody & care for him as the law requires.

Ordered by the Court that $600 be and the same is hereby allowed Hugh McMaster for the service & benefit of Abner Linthicum,
a one legged man without means & unable to to make a living. Said and payable out of the levy made for 1884.
Book 8, page 14, 5th day of Mar 1885
On motion of J. W. Burklow, it appearing to the satisfaction of the court, that L. W. Burklow, departed this life, intestate, on the
25th day of Feby 1885 in said County. It is therefore ordered by the court that said J. W. Burklow be granted letters of
administration upon the personal estate of said deceased.
T. C. Campbell, J. A. Yandell & W. W. McKinney appraise the personal estate of L. W. Burklow deceased. (Leroy Burklow and
his wife, Harriet Burklow, are thought to be buried in the Burklow Cemetery, in the Frances area ,but they have no stones.)

On motion of J. N. Todd, It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that Wm. Smith Departed this life intestate, on the 21st
day of Feb 1885, in said county. It is therefore ordered that letters of administration be and they are hereby granted said J. N.
Todd upon the personal estate of said deceased. W. H. McChesney, Sam Crowell and E. W. Jones be appointed appraisers
of the personal estate of Wm. Smith.

Ordered that J.S. D. Spurr be allowed $5.00 for delivering L. M. Driver an old helpless man to his sisters residence in
Livingston Co.
Book 8, page 29, 13th of Apr 1885
It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that Charley Ransom is an invalid pauper. It is therefore ordered by the Court
that $2.00 per month is hereby allowed him to assist him in procuring the necessaries of life.
Book 8, page 56 27 of June 1885
Ordered that T. A. Harpending be and he is hereby appointed administrator of the personal estate of Ayers Stewart Decd,
who departed this life May 30th 1885 in Crittenden Co. Intestate. Leaving surviving him his wife, who waives her right to
administer in favor of said Harpending. Ordered that W. W. Brown, H. C. Howard & W. W. Watson do appraise the personal
Estate of Ayers Stewart.
(Ayers Stewart married Lorena Brown, 21-Jan-1858, Crittenden. She is buried in the Brown-Wring Cemetery, no stone.)

On motion of John Pickens, and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court from the evidence, that he is a man of good
moral character, a citizen of Union County in the state of Kentucky for more than 2 years past & a native of Ky. & is 50
years of age about 5 feet & 10 inches high, weight about 160 pounds, grey hair hazel eyes.
It is therefore ordered by the Court that he be granted a license to peddle his goods, wares & merchandise in Crittenden
County for three months from this date.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that Sarah G. Dobbs, has no means & is therefore ordered by the Court that
she and her infant child be & they are hereby declared Paupers and the Keeper of the Poor House is hereby ordered to take
charge of them and care for them as the Law required.
