a. William Sr. was 66 years old in 1884 and lived at Narrows.

b. Aff: James Gay- 1888, 50 years old residing at Als(?)il Branch of Tedious Creek.

c. Surgeons Report in 1888: Wm Sr was 5'6" in height and 71 years old. William Jr. Died in combat in Louisiana. (Youngs Point)

d. Aff: Nathan Baker and William Burns: William Bishop Sr. died May 1, 1888 at Newfound Creek. ( Hung himself) Children: (This list of children must have been taken from the 1860 Census?) Rachel 16, Polly 14, James 12, Esther 10, Isaac 6, Lydia 4, & Daniel age 2.

e. William Burns Bishop: 1889 lived within one mile. Served together. William Sr. worked on flatboats.

f. Description: Dark complexion, dark hair and black eyes.

Widows Claim of Susan Barrett Bishop wife of Wm Sr.:

a. Aff: Susan Bishop: June 1, 1889; I am the widow of William Bishop Sen. late of Co. I, 14th Ky Volunteers. Marriage record Mar. 15, 1839. Their son William Junior served in the army with his father. Squire & Theopholis also served.
