Sir;

I have the honor to return here with the complaint letter of Lee Graft of Tanksley, Clay Co. Ky. dated August 16th 1893 relative to the title to pension of Wm. B. Bishop ctf. no. 352714, late of Co. I 14 Ky. Cav. together with the depositions of Job A. Allen and complainant and to submit my report there on.

The pensioners post office address is Teges, Clay co. Ky. This complaint is grounded on the fact that pensioner had his pensioned disability before the war and that it did not originate in the service.

Interviewed Daniel Allen, Levi Abner and Wash Graft referred to by complianant but they seemed to be wanting in knowledge as to the pensioners physical condition before his enlistment. I was advised that Job Allen would know more about the pensioner before the war than anyone else and I accordinglt called upon him and took his deposition.

Job A. Allen stands well as a citizen and bears a good reputation for truthfullness and he testified that pensioner was troubled with rheumatism of the back before the war. He had an excellent opportunity for knowing the pensioners physical condition before the war as the pensioner lived in his fathers family a good deal before that time and they were brought up together. He was an unbiased witness and is on the list of ________ with the pensioner. He refers to Jennie Bishop of Kingston or Berea, Madison Ky. as the only person he knows of having personal knowledge of pensioner being down with attacks of rheumatism before the war.

If the pensioner is pensioned for rheumatism, I beleive this testamony sufficiant to warrent a thorough special examination to determin prior ____ and origin and I so recommend.

Very respectfuly
