In case anyone is interested:
In 1982 I wrote to the Western Heraldry
Organization in Colorado Springs.
One of the entries was the following:
#204
in B book
25 Oct 1833
Leander Miller and Barton Potter,
Merchants of Manchester, Clay co.
and Milly Henson (William Dunsel and
Milley his wife)
Transaction: Milly Henson owed debts to
Miller and Potter, Merchants, before her
marriage, being one note for $3. and an
account for $31.62 ½. Now, to secure
those Merchants, Milly and her husband
mortgage two cows and calves, two horses
(one bay mare and one colt), one heifer,
and two beds and furniture.
