McNEELY, Allie. It is with sad hearts, brightened by happy
memories that we chronicle the passing of our young friend,
Allie P. McNeely, who 3 years ago was a valued member of this

his labors as a printer in The Leader office, after several
years as true service as was ever rendered. The doctor's
orders were nothing but rest for a short while and then fresh
air and sunshine for Allie had become stricken with that
dread malady tuberculosis. Upon recovery from a series of
hemorrhages, he removed to his farm near that of his father's
not far from Marion, which he had purchased shortly before
taken ill. Here, with his wife and three young children, he
manfully fought a brave fight and a year ago deemed his
improvement such that he again began work at Springfield, MO.
His health failed again a few months ago and he returned to
his father's home where he quietly passed to that reward that
must await such loyal hearts as his. Besides his wife and 3
children, he is survived by his parents and several brothers
and sisters. The funeral was held Friday at Piney Fork
